A friend of mine is driving the street team van for one of two Capitol Records bands on tour this fall and needs a co-pilot. You'd be responsible for essentially following the tour around with my friend in the van, going to every show, hanging stuff up, passing shit out after the show, etc. It pays $50/day.

For tour #1, you'd have to commit to Oct 29 in Los Angeles to Nov 30 in Houston; for tour #2, you'd have to commit to Nov 24 in Boston through Dec 14 in San Francisco or shortly thereafter.

I can't tell you which bands, but I guarantee you these will be big shows and you'd be taken care of food/lodging-wise. Capitol hasn't decided which tour my friend will be following yet, but she'll definitely be doing one of them, so if you're interested/available for either one, email me at heisel [at] altpress [dot] com and I'll forward it onto the right person. There's no real qualifications here besides the willingness to travel long distances and the ability to not rape my friend on the road (although she asks for it sometimes).

this is so tempting... I have almost nothing better to do, and a one way ticket to LA isn't that expensive.

you might just be receiving an e-mail from me if 'tour #1' still needs somebody in a couple days.

Capitol will pay for your flight to Los Angeles.

That wasn't too hard to figure (http://collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.showDetails&Band_Show_ID=8362047&friendid=3326503) out (http://collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.showDetails&Band_Show_ID=8362763&friendid=3326503).

If she asks for it, then it's not considered rape.

I was looking for a tour to maybe go on over my winter break but that is 12/13-1/7. I miss being on the road. If anyone hears about tours that need a tour manager or roadie or tech let me know.
