Your eyes do not deceive you! That is Mr. Jordan A. Baker, Esq in the pit, mid-finger point, during Ignite's set at the 9:30 Club tonight! This is an extraordinary event because:

a) Jordan left his house!
b) Jordan went to a show!
c) Jordan didn't stay in the balcony during said show!!!!

i imagine the next time this occurs will be at the next solar eclipse.

It looks like jordan is smoking a joint in that pic.

Solid.

Ignite is most definately pit-worthy. Admittedly I was not in the pit when I saw them 3 months or so ago, but there were some burly, shirtless dudes I don't think I could have handled. Maybe 5 years ago, but I am getting a bit old.

i wish i had my good camera tonight because me and jonny led definitely saw MOSHILLA 2: BLONDE AMBITION. A rather "rubenesque" blonde girl with mesh shorts way out of control in the pit. it was like a car wreck: so horrifying, yet you couldn't look away.

I had so many better finger points than that... I think I was wiping sweat off my face in that one.

I like how no one else in the picture is even remotely excited, either.

I guess kids don't get Ignite out here. There was definitely a devoted core of kids who were way into them, but, in general, the reaction of most kids to nearly all the openers was pretty blas

I wasn't too bad during Ignite. Better than I expected in terms of 'the old kids' coming out, but plainly, it was Strike Anywhere's crowd.

Was Jordan the dude in the PMFS shirt?

I was super happy when Strike Anywhere busted out Cassandratic Equation.

Ah! I was in a My Bloody Valentine t-shirt.

What was up with those whack ass merch prices!? Modern Life is War was the only band not charging outrageous prices for stuff.

That was understandable I guess, but fucking Ignite selling CDs for 15 bucks, what is this, FYE?

yeah, THAT was bullshit.

Yea, the CD prices were definitely wack. They didn't have "A Place Called Home" for sale, which although understandable, was strange cause it's their most popular disc. I picked up an Ignite t-shirt for $15. Pricey for a t-shirt, but ya gotta support the bands you like if you keep wanting to see them!

odd, mine was 10 and that was only like 3 months ago or so.

I was kinda wondering if it was just because of 9:30 Club. It seemed like the people doing merch were affiliated with them.

That place had a weird vibe, I mean, it was alright, and the bouncers weren't that bad.

I've always been under the impression that 9:30 takes a cut of merch sales, though that can vary upon the tour. Anyone know anything that contradicts that? Of course, Ignite's bus probably gets 8 mpg, so maybe that has something to do with it...

I saw Ignite in March and CD's and shirts were $10.

BizzleBrizzle

Yeah, that's how it was when I saw them in March as well.

930 takes a cut of the merch for the bands that use the 930 merch booth. if the band sets up in the back they ususally dont have to pay. but i am pretty sure unless there are alot of bands you have to use their booth.

how was the reaction to MLIW and was there a barrier?

BizzleBrizzle
09-04-2006, 07:29 PM
No barrier, I think there was a better reaction for MLIW than Ignite.

Sweet pics from the tour's stop at CBGBs. Check out the ones of Vinny Stigma playing with Ignite.
