What bands would you like to see what labels sign?

Epitaph:
Brain Failure
Polar Bear Club
Vaux

I'd rather see Polar Bear Club somewhere like Jade Tree.

Intersting.... I'm downgrading a lot of bands from major status here just because I think they'd make better records out of that environment...

The Lashes to Dirtnap
Cuff The Duke to Alive or Saddle Creek
Elliott Brood to Alive
Tangiers to SubPop
Noise Conspiracy to SubPop (so they can just be alone in a nice little well distributed corner and hopefully get a little weird)
Grabass Charlestons to Fat
Reel Big Fish to Epitaph
Smalltown to No Idea
Tricky Woo to Gearhead

Now that's effort!

If you put half the effort into something constructive that you do trying to be funny, Cancer would probably be cured and Middle Eastern countries would be writing love songs about each other.

Smalltown to No Idea isn't a bad idea. Surely Dirtnap will sign a dozen more bands so the Lashes could be in there. How 'bout a new band on PNR?

The Agent to (1) Revelation or (2) Equal Vision
Definitely Polar Bear Club to Jade Tree
Pyramids to Level Plane or Robotic Empire
No Trigger to Fat (Nitro is doing good, but I really think they could attain Strike Anywhere levels of popularity with that type of push)
Gatsbys American Dream to Equal Vision
The Coma Recovery to Temporary Residence
The Steal to Revelation
Trophy Scars to Equal Vision
Take My Chances to Revelation
Banner Pilot to Fat or Punknews
Modern Life Is War to Victory with their contract negotiated by Elliott Spitzer
No Roses to Bridge 9 or Revelation
Ruiner " "
Jenoah to Equal Vision
Audio Karate to anywhere else

H20 to Equal Vision
Rancid to Epitaph (pretty sure that's the case anyway)
Latterman to FAT
Glassjaw to Ferret
Municipal Waste to Side One Dummy
Anxious Arms to Deep Elm
Guttermouth to Victory (where old bands go to die...please)
The Progress to Hopeless
Make or Break to Rivalry

The Lashes just need a label with no budget and some cred so they can become good again without the option of having a professional producer fix their weaknesses.

PNR's going to release nothing but rare Neil Young archive recordings from now on.

Oh God, that would be so awesome.

Latterman to Fat seems like a good idea.
Someone should pick Banner Pilot up.

The Appleseed Cast-Suicide Squeeze
Aloha-" "
Paulson-Eyeball Records
Tera Melos-Temporary Residence
Russian Circles-Neurot or Hydra Head

Is Eyeball who picked Paulson up?

I've heard Victory, a major, equal vision, and Eyeball. I don't know what to believe

I can't wait until I have money freed up again. So many great unsigned bands out there that deserve exposure.

I'd like to see Drive Thru sign someone I'm remotely interested in.

Just because that label kinda got me into more underground music.

Fuck man Midtown was great back then.

Also I'd like to see an indie like EV or Victory or someone sign a bling bling rapper or gangster rapper.

It would blow minds.

Latterman to Red Scare or Fat
Banner Pilot to PNR (srsly guys)
One Reason to No Idea or Fat
Less Than Jake to Fat
Against Me! to Epitaph

I want to see a new label take up bands like Toys That Kill, the Ergs, River City Tanlines, etc (Adam-core, basically) and make a name for themselves. If I only had money or partners...

PBC on Jade Tree is good. Pyramids on Robotic Empire with CTTS would be good.

The Coma Recovery on Temporary Residence would be a sick idea. Seriously, they're so fucking amazingly good. Anybody else going to the 10th anniversary 3-day fest?

Gatsbys and Trophy Scars on Equal Vision with Fall of Troy would be amazing.

good ideas

Is Polar Bear Club even enough of a band to warrant a large record deal?

I mean, do they really tour a lot and do they consider it a full time band?

I could definitely see Polar Bear Club on Jade Tree. Even Equal Vision to a certain extent.

Banner Pilot - I could see them on No Idea.

Latterman would nicely on No Idea too I think, and of course Fat.

Ruiner needs to be picked up, if not by the aforementioned Bridge 9 and Rev, maybe by Deathwish or Rivalry. I could DEFINITELY see them on Rivalry.

Van Damage from PA - Bridge 9

I doubt anyone here knows them, but there's a band from NYC called Dear Tonight that I think could fit nicely on Equal Vision.

Spanish Bombs from New Jersey, I'd like to see them picked up by Deathwish or Revelation.

I'd like to see a bigger label pick up The Velvet Teen or Colossal.

And...that's about it, really.

I totally forgot about Rivalry, that would make perfect sense.

And as for the latter, I just listened to SB today; they'd definitely make great labelmates with End of a Year...

Brendan Kelly's wrong. I talked to Chuck @ Deep Elm today, who then called Pat in Latterman, who said they were booking an October tour down to the Fest V and back. He also said a possible January tour with Avail is in the works, too.
